How to vote for a witness

The Steem blockchain has a total of 30 active witnesses that are responsible for keeping the blockchain running, as well as accepting any new updates to the blockchain. Anyone can run to be a witness as long as they have the blockchain running on their system, and anyone can vote on who they want as their witness as well.

In order to vote for a witness, you need to head over to https://steemit.com/~witnesses. You need to be logged in to Steemit to be able to vote. This page will show you the top 50 witnesses, and you simply click on the upvote button next to the witness(es) you like to vote for. If you want to vote for someone else (not currently in the top 50) then scroll to the bottom and write their name in the field there. Don't use the @ before their name, but just type their usersname in the field.

How to convert Steem to SBD, and the other way around

There are many reasons why you might want to convert SBD to Steem, or Steem to SBD, and it's actually pretty easy to do. To get Steem from SBD, you can do the following: Go to wallet and click on the small arrow next to your SBD balance. Select the option "Convert to Steem", and just type in the amount of wish to convert. This process will take 3,5 days to complete, so you will not be able to access your founds during this time. Trading on the internal market Another way to do it is by trading on the internal market. This also lets you convert Steem to SBD, which is not possible by the same method as above.
